We work with patients who are 1, 2, and 3 years post-stroke and consistently see new functional improvement.
VR (virtual reality) physiotherapy uses an immersive or screen-based environment to guide patients through exercises. For stroke recovery, VR is clinically valuable because it generates high-repetition movement the neuroplasticity stimulus the recovering brain needs in an engaging, feedback-rich format. Patients complete significantly more movement repetitions in a VR session than in conventional manual therapy. Recovery duration depends on the severity of the stroke, the patient’s age and general health, and how quickly structured rehabilitation begins. Most Rewin stroke patients attend therapy for 3 to 6 months. Some chronic patients come for longer, particularly those working on hand function recovery. We assess progress at every session and adjust the programme accordingly you will always know where you are in your recovery journey.
It is not too late. While earlier rehabilitation generally produces faster results, neuroplasticity does not stop after one year. The brain retains the ability to form new connections and compensatory pathways well beyond the acute phase.
